Prohibited Activities

WARNING: ENGAGING IN ANY PROHIBITED ACTIVITY WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE ACCOUNT SUSPENSION, CARD TERMINATION, FORFEITURE OF ANY REMAINING BALANCE, AND MAY RESULT IN REFERRAL TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES. VAULT27 RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY TO RELEVANT REGULATORY AND GOVERNMENTAL BODIES WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE TO YOU.

Section 1 — Introduction & Scope

This Prohibited Activities Policy (“Policy”) forms part of your agreement with Vault27 / 3-102-948161 S.R.L. (“Vault27”) and applies to all use of your Vault27 Card, Vault27 Account, Vault27 wallet, and any associated services (collectively, the “Services”). By registering for, activating, or using the Vault27 Card or any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by this Policy in its most current form.

The activities listed in this Policy are prohibited without exception. Vault27 maintains an active compliance and transaction monitoring programme. Vault27 and its Issuer, banking partners, and card network partners reserve the right to investigate any transaction or account activity that appears suspicious, unusual, or inconsistent with the permitted purpose of the Vault27 Card.

This Policy is not exhaustive. Activities not explicitly listed may still be prohibited if Vault27 or its Issuer determines, in their reasonable judgment, that the activity poses a legal, regulatory, financial, reputational, or operational risk. In cases of uncertainty, you should contact Vault27 at legal@vault27.pro before proceeding.

This Policy applies to you, all Authorised Users on your account, and any person using your Card or Account credentials with or without your knowledge. You are responsible for ensuring that all persons with access to your Account understand and comply with this Policy.

Section 2 — Illegal Activities

You must not use the Vault27 Card or Services in connection with any activity that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation, including but not limited to:

2.1 General Criminal Activity

  • Any activity that violates any applicable local, national, or international law, statute, regulation, ordinance, treaty, or judicial order.
  • Facilitating, financing, or otherwise supporting any criminal enterprise or criminal organisation.
  • Any activity that constitutes a criminal offence in the jurisdiction in which the transaction occurs or in the jurisdiction of the cardholder.
  • Receiving or using proceeds of crime in any form, including through the Vault27 Card or wallet.

2.2 Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing

  • Money laundering in any form, including placement, layering, or integration of proceeds of crime.
  • Terrorist financing or providing financial support to any individual, group, or organisation
    designated as a terrorist entity by any government or international body.
  • Structuring transactions (also known as “smurfing”) to avoid reporting thresholds or KYC/AML
    detection systems.
  • Using multiple accounts, multiple cards, or multiple jurisdictions to disguise the source, nature, or
    destination of funds.
  • Facilitating or enabling any transaction that is designed to evade anti-money laundering controls.

2.3 Fraud & Identity-Related Offences

  • Any form of fraud, including payment fraud, chargeback fraud, account takeover fraud, and refund fraud.
  • Identity theft, including the use of another person’s identity, documents, or financial credentials without their authorisation.
  • Impersonating any person, business, government authority, or financial institution.
  • Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information to Vault27, the Issuer, any card network, or any merchant.
  • Using counterfeit, stolen, or unauthorised card details.
  • Creating or using fictitious identities for the purpose of obtaining a Vault27 Card or accessing the Services.

2.4 Cybercrime & Unauthorised Access

  • Unauthorised access to, or hacking of, any computer system, network, database, or electronic device.
  • Distribution or use of malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or any other malicious software.
  • Phishing, social engineering, or any technique used to deceive individuals into disclosing credentials or financial information.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity, security, or operation of the Vault27 platform or any third-party system.
  • Using automated bots, scripts, or tools to manipulate the Vault27 platform, referral programme, or any other feature.

2.5 Controlled Substances & Illegal Goods

  • The purchase, sale, import, export, or distribution of illegal narcotics, controlled substances, or precursor chemicals.
  • The purchase or sale of prescription drugs without a valid, verifiable prescription from a licensed medical practitioner.
  • The purchase or sale of counterfeit goods, including counterfeit currency, documents, or branded merchandise.
  • The purchase or sale of stolen goods or goods of unlawful origin.
  • Any transaction involving goods or services that are illegal to possess, sell, or distribute in the applicable jurisdiction.

2.6 Human Rights Violations

  • Human trafficking, forced labour, debt bondage, or any activity that exploits, coerces, or harms any person.
  • Transactions that fund or facilitate the exploitation of children or vulnerable persons in any form.
  • Activities that violate fundamental human rights as recognised by international law.

Section 3 — Sanctions & Restricted Jurisdictions

Vault27 maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy in relation to sanctions compliance. You must not use the Vault27 Card or Services in connection with any of the following:

3.1 Sanctioned Individuals & Entities

  • Any transaction with an individual or entity designated on the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List.
  • Any transaction with an individual or entity on the EU Consolidated Sanctions List, the UN Security Council Consolidated List, or the UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) list.
  • Any transaction with an individual or entity designated under any other applicable national or international sanctions regime.
  • Any transaction with a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) where the transaction presents an elevated risk of corruption or financial crime.

3.2 Restricted Jurisdictions

Vault27 Cards may not be used for transactions originating from, destined to, or in any way connected with the following jurisdictions, which are subject to comprehensive international sanctions:
  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • North Korea (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea)
  • Syria
  • Russia (in respect of designated sectors and entities under applicable sanctions)
  • Belarus (in respect of designated sectors and entities under applicable sanctions)
  • The Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine (occupied territories)
  • Myanmar (Burma) — in respect of designated entities
  • Any other jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions under applicable law at the relevant time.
Vault27 reviews and updates this list in accordance with developments in international sanctions programmes. You are responsible for ensuring your transactions do not involve restricted jurisdictions, regardless of whether they appear on this specific list.

3.3 Sanctions Evasion

  • Any attempt to circumvent, evade, or otherwise avoid applicable sanctions controls, including through the use of shell companies, nominee arrangements, or indirect routing of transactions.
  • Knowingly facilitating a transaction on behalf of a sanctioned party through a third party.
  • Using virtual currencies or blockchain technology as a means to obscure the sanctioned nature of a transaction.

Section 4 — Financial Services & Investment Restrictions

4.1 Unlicensed Financial Services

  • Operating or participating in any unlicensed money services business, including unlicensed currency exchange, money transmission, payment processing, or lending.
  • Providing financial advice, investment management, or asset management services without the required regulatory licence or authorisation.
  • Operating or funding any unlicensed cryptocurrency exchange, over-the-counter (OTC) desk, or peer-to-peer currency trading platform.

4.2 Investment Fraud & Market Manipulation

  • Securities fraud, including the offer or sale of unregistered securities, market manipulation, or insider trading.
  • Operating, funding, or participating in pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or any investment arrangement that relies on recruitment of participants rather than genuine commercial activity.
  • Multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes that operate in a manner that is unlawful or deceptive under applicable law.
  • High-yield investment programmes (HYIPs) or any scheme offering guaranteed or unrealistic investment returns.
  • Any scheme involving false or misleading representations about investment performance, returns, or risk.

4.3 Gambling & Betting

  • Online or offline gambling, casino gaming, sports betting, poker, lottery, or any other form of wagering, unless expressly and specifically permitted by Vault27 in writing for a particular use case.
  • Funding or withdrawing from any gambling platform, including platforms operating in jurisdictions where online gambling is prohibited.
  • Using the Vault27 Card as a funding source for gambling wallets or accounts.

4.4 Cryptocurrency Restrictions

  • Purchasing cryptocurrency using the Vault27 Card — crypto must be loaded through the Vault27 platform directly via supported Crypto Assets.
  • Using the Vault27 Card to fund or interact with any cryptocurrency mixing service, tumbler, or privacy coin service designed to obscure transaction origins.
  • Any transaction involving cryptocurrency services that operate without appropriate AML/KYC controls.

Section 5 — Explicit, Harmful & Illegal Content

5.1 Child Safety — Absolute Prohibition

Vault27 maintains an absolute and unconditional prohibition on any activity involving the sexual exploitation of minors. There are no exceptions to this prohibition under any circumstances.
  • Any transaction related to the purchase, production, distribution, or possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors.
  • Any service, platform, or activity that facilitates, promotes, or enables the sexual exploitation or abuse of children.
  • Any activity involving the grooming, trafficking, or exploitation of minors for any purpose.

5.2 Harmful & Offensive Content

  • Purchase or distribution of content that promotes, glorifies, or incites violence, terrorism, genocide, or hatred against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
  • Transactions related to the production or distribution of non-consensual intimate imagery (also known as “revenge porn”).
  • Any content that constitutes criminal harassment, stalking, or bullying of any individual.

Section 6 — Weapons, Dangerous Materials & Controlled Goods

  • Purchase, sale, or transfer of illegal weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosives in contravention of applicable law.
  • Transactions involving biological, chemical, nuclear, or radiological weapons, materials, or components, or any equipment designed for the production of weapons of mass destruction.
  • Purchase or sale of military-grade equipment, surveillance technology, or dual-use goods that are subject to export controls without the required licences.
  • Purchase or distribution of goods subject to import or export restrictions under applicable trade law.
  • Transactions involving endangered species, illegal wildlife products, or any goods prohibited under CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species).
  • Hazardous materials or chemicals that are illegal to transport, possess, or trade in the applicable jurisdiction.

Section 7 — Adult Services & Sensitive Merchant Categories

  • Escort services, prostitution, sex work, or any service involving the direct exchange of money for sexual activity, regardless of the legal status of such activity in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Adult entertainment platforms or services involving explicit sexual content, unless the transaction is with a platform that has been expressly approved by Vault27 in writing.
  • Transactions with any merchant categorised as a high-risk adult services provider by the applicable card network or Vault27’s banking partners.

Section 8 — Card Misuse & Account Abuse

8.1 Prohibited Card Usage

  • Using the Vault27 Card for personal, family, or household purchases where the Card has been issued for business or commercial purposes, or vice versa.
  • Using the Vault27 Card for cash advances or balance transfers unless explicitly authorised by Vault27 in writing.
  • Allowing any person other than an Authorised User to use your Vault27 Card or account credentials.
  • Sharing, selling, or transferring your Vault27 Card, account credentials, or card details to any third party.

8.2 Account & Revenue Share Abuse

  • Creating multiple Vault27 accounts for the purpose of exploiting the reenue share programme, earning duplicate commissions, circumventing transaction limits, or evading compliance controls.
  • Using fake, borrowed, or stolen identities to create accounts or pass KYC verification.
  • Manipulating the referral programme through artificial means, including self-referrals, botgenerated referrals, or coordinated abuse of the commission structure.
  • Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Vault27 platform in a manner that is not intended for legitimate users.

8.3 Misrepresentation

  • Providing false, inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information to Vault27, the Issuer, any card network, or any merchant in connection with the use of the Services.
  • Misrepresenting the nature or purpose of any transaction to Vault27, the Issuer, or any third party.
  • Submitting fraudulent or inflated chargeback claims.
  • Falsely claiming that a transaction is unauthorised in order to obtain a refund while retaining the benefit of the goods or services.

Section 9 — Other Restricted Activities

  • Online pharmacies operating without appropriate regulatory licence or dispensing prescription medications without a valid prescription.
  • Telemedicine or healthcare services that operate in breach of applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Sale or distribution of tobacco products, e-cigarettes, or nicotine products in jurisdictions where such sales are prohibited or restricted.
  • Sale or distribution of alcohol in jurisdictions where such sales are prohibited.
  • Activities involving the unauthorised collection, processing, or sale of personal data in breach of applicable data protection laws.
  • Unauthorised use of intellectual property, including piracy, copyright infringement, and trademark infringement.
  • Domain squatting, cybersquatting, or any activity involving the registration of domain names in bad faith.
  • Operating a business or service that Vault27 or the Issuer reasonably determines poses a material legal, regulatory, financial, reputational, or operational risk to Vault27, the Issuer, or any card network.
  • Any activity that is likely to bring Vault27, the Issuer, or any card network into disrepute.

Section 10 — Enforcement & Consequences

Vault27 and the Issuer take violations of this Policy extremely seriously. Upon detection of any Prohibited Activity, Vault27 and/or the Issuer may take any or all of the following actions without prior notice:

10.1 Immediate Actions

  • Immediate suspension or permanent termination of your Vault27 Card and Account.
  • Blocking or reversing any transaction associated with the Prohibited Activity.
  • Freezing any funds held in your Vault27 wallet pending investigation.
  • Forfeiture of any remaining wallet balance where it is determined that funds represent the proceeds of Prohibited Activity.
  • Forfeiture of all accrued but unpaid referral commissions.

10.2 Reporting & Legal Action

  • Filing a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) with the applicable financial intelligence unit or law enforcement authority.
  • Reporting the activity to regulatory bodies, including financial regulators, law enforcement agencies, and card network compliance teams.
  • Referring the matter to law enforcement authorities for criminal investigation and prosecution.
  • Cooperating fully with any law enforcement investigation, including providing transaction records, account information, and KYC data as required by law.
  • Commencing civil legal proceedings to recover any losses, damages, or costs suffered by Vault27 or the Issuer as a result of the Prohibited Activity.

10.3 Liability

You are fully liable for any losses, damages, fines, penalties, legal fees, and regulatory sanctions suffered by Vault27, the Issuer, any card network, or any third party as a direct or indirect result of your engagement in any Prohibited Activity. This liability survives the termination of your Account and these Card Terms.

Section 11 — Monitoring & Investigations

Vault27 operates a continuous transaction monitoring programme. All transactions conducted through the Vault27 Card and platform are subject to automated and manual review for compliance with this Policy and applicable AML/KYC laws. By using the Services, you consent to this monitoring.

Vault27 may at any time request additional information, documentation, or explanations from you in connection with any transaction or pattern of transactions. You must cooperate fully and promptly with any such request. Failure to cooperate may result in account suspension, card termination, and referral to regulatory authorities.

Vault27 uses blockchain analytics tools to assess the risk profile of cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals. High-risk transactions — including those associated with mixers, darknet markets, sanctioned entities, or other prohibited sources — will be blocked and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Section 12 — Reporting Concerns

If you are aware of any person using or attempting to use the Vault27 Card or Services in connection with any Prohibited Activity, you are encouraged to report it to Vault27 confidentially at:

Vault27 treats all such reports seriously and with confidentiality to the extent permitted by law.

Section 13 — Updates to This Policy

Vault27 reserves the right to update, amend, or expand this Prohibited Activities Policy at any time without prior notice. Updates will be published at vault27.pro/prohibited-activities with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Vault27 Card or Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. You are responsible for reviewing this Policy regularly.

If you are unsure whether a specific transaction, activity, or merchant is permitted under this Policy, you must contact Vault27 at legal@vault27.pro BEFORE proceeding. Acting first and asking later is not a defence and may result in account suspension.
